About Us

Our Story

Holiday Health Care has been a long-time leader in health care services in the Tri-State area. On July 12, 2022, Holiday Health Care acquired Need-a-Nurse, Inc. of Evansville. Need-a-Nurse is a long-term, in-home health care company serving Tri-State residents of all ages.  It was founded 28 years ago by Suzy Hall, with the goal of caring for Evansville residents with significant, long-term healthcare needs in the environment they are most comfortable. “I’ve spent my professional life serving the most acute patients with the greatest need for care,” Suzy said, “and in Holiday, I have found a partner that shares my devotion. I know they will take great care of my patients and staff!” As a result of the acquisition, Need-a-Nurse became a division of Holiday’s home health company, Horizons Home Care, and took on a new name: Horizons Community Care.
